It is always fun to go here, and quite retro. The best bet is to get a burger, fries and milkshake. There is a takeout area, too.

It was not a five star restaurant that is for sure.

This is a neat place to stop for families. They have some of the best milk shakes. The only thing that bothers me is that the waitresses add the toppings, and they use their unwashed hands.

The Charcoal Pit is a well known establishment in the Delaware area. I have went to these restaurants since I was a child. They offer a good selection on their newly expanded menut. They have everything from the oldtime favourite: charbroiled burgers to newly added chicken fajitas and steaks. They offer a friendly family environment. Their milkshakes are well known and one of the favourites on the menu for kids and adults alike. They often run coupons in the weekly coupon mailer which makes this place quite affordable for a family. The service is pretty good and food gives that 50s diner feel. I think kids will especially like the menu, especially the ice cream.

They have expanded their menu so now you can get steak, chicken, lots of appetizers, good ice cream. Kids love it. TV's to occupy you during the wait.
